Welcome to Parkerville Wood Products Inc. We are up and running with limited capacity. More on this later in this notice.First, a little history. As some of you may know Dave sold his company, Harris Enterprise Corporation (dba Harris Woodworking) in May of 2004. In June of 2005 the current owners of Harris Woodworking informed Dave that they intended to phase out the store and lumber business and cease serving the public so that they could focus on the company’s core business of architectural mill work consisting of larger commercial woodworking projects. Dave purchased the store and lumber business back from them late last year and formed a partnership with Chris Paulhus, a business associate and good friend for the past 15 or so years. Some of you may have met Chris as he worked in the store at Harris for 3 months or so prior to it closing last November. Chris has worked in the woodworking industry for the past 25 years in various capacities. Parkerville Wood Products was born.

We are located in a turn of the century brick building that used to be part of the Lydall Foulds
industrial complex in a part of town that was known as Parkerville in the late 1800's. The space is very fitting to our trade, with an interesting history, original brick walls, and heavy timber trusses. When our renovation is complete and our lighting and equipment set up, we will have created a very nice showroom and workshop, and an atmosphere that we hope you will find warm and appealing.

We are a bit hard to find as we are on a portion of Parker Street that was sold by the town and closed to through traffic many years ago. Our new location is 2/10's of a mile from Harris Woodworking. We have a good detailed map on our web site, or you can call for directions.Internet sites such as Map Quest don’t work very well for locating us.

At Parkerville Wood Products you will find the expertise and service that you had come to expect at Harris Woodworking. The lumber and other wood related products that we will stock will be of much greater variety and of the highest quality. We will inventory in excess of 50 species of hardwood and softwood lumber, plywoods, veneers, finishing supplies, specialty adhesives, router bits and saw blades etc. Most of these products we sold at Harris. New products and ideas include table legs and other furniture parts, a wide variety of the highest quality hand tools, blade and bit sharpening service, carving sets, additional finish products, clamps, a line of power machines, and other unique items. We will research the latest and greatest and bring you only the best products. We will import certain products and have a crate of burls arriving any day from Australia. Our shop will be fully equipped to produce almost any project imaginable. We do enjoy challenges.

We presently have a substantial inventory of solid lumber and plywood and are equipped to joint and plane lumber, and are prepared to serve you in this capacity immediately. Presently we are struggling a bit with our set-up, related primarily to delays in upgrading the power supply to the building. We are hoping to have this issue resolved within the next few weeks. In the interim we continue to set up our showroom, bring in more products, and set up and adjust our extensive line of equipment.

Please stop in at your convenience for a visit or if you have lumber needs. We plan on an open house sometime before the end of the year and will keep you posted with our plans. We apologize for our unexpected long delay in our ability to serve you but are confident that you will find our operation worth waiting for. We look forward to seeing you at our shop at Parkerville Wood Products.

Sincerely,
David Harris & Chris Paulhus
